On Dec. 25, Viettel was approved in principle by the Prime Minister to keep 15% stake in Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank and become the strategic shareholder of the local bank, according to the governmental office's Official Letter No 8822/VPCP-KTTH
In which, the telecom provider will have to contribute minumum 10% capital within this year.
The Ministry of Defence and Viettel shall determine the source and specific amount of investment in MB and are in charge of carrying out the assigned obligations. As reported, MB is supposed to finish the registration procedures for the new chartered capital of 3.4 trillion VND.
